Kline Wins 3 Events in Loss to Coyotes

VERMILLION, S.D. -- Lindsey Kline captured three of UNO's six event wins Saturday, but it wasn't enough to stop South Dakota from posting a 162-136 dual meet victory over the Mavericks at the DakotaDome.
Carrie Murphy and Jessica Hessel also registered wins and the 400-meter freestyle relay team of Katey Howarter, Cait Hopkins,Megan Guthmiller and Hessel won the final event of the day.
Kline won the 400-meter individual medley with a time of 5:14.62 over teammate Laura Kemp; The 800-meter freestyle in a time of 9:23.65, and the 400-meter freestyle with a mark of 4:31.96.
Murphy won the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:18.45 to Kemp.s 1:18.75, while UNO's Adrienne Losee was third with a mark of 1:19.31.
Hessel captured the 100-meter freestyle event with a time of 59.49.
The relay team's time of 4:01.26 was three seconds faster than USD. UNO's B squad of Lucy Zamecnik, Losee, Katie Hubbell and Lindsey Miletta was third.
UNO is idle until hosting South Dakota in a dual meet at the HPER Pool on Jan. 12.
