Barna, LaFave Each Win 2 in Dual Loss

Jessica LaFave and Ashley Barna each won twice Saturday, but Minnesota State-Moorhead won 10 of the 16 events to score a 167-123 dual meet win over the Mavericks Saturday at the HPER Pool.
UNO also had wins from Cait Hopkins and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Katey Howarter, Lindsey Kline, Hopkins and Barna in the meet. Northern State also swam in the three-team meet.
Barna captured the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:59.66 and the 500-yard freestyle event in 5:25.13, while LaFave earned wins in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.43) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.75). Hopkins won the 200-yard backstroke with a mark of 2:14.64.
UNO's next action will be on Dec. 15 in a dual meet at South Dakota.
