NCC Tabs Prince as Athlete of the Week

LaCheryl Prince, who won both the long jump and the triple jump at last week's Wayne State Wildcat Open, has been named the North Central Conference's women's field athlete of the week.
Prince, a senior from Omaha, recorded a 17-11 long jump and a 38-8 1/4 triple jump, which was a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA II championships. The triple jump was the fourth-best in school history.
The Mavericks' next competition will be Friday in the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invitational in Lincoln at the Bob Devaney Sports Center indoor track facility.
