NCC Meet Next for Mavericks

The Mavericks will compete in the North Central Conference swimming and diving championships Feb. 21-24. The meet is hosted by the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D.
The Mavericks who finished second a year ago, will be trying to reclaim the NCC title they won in 2005.
UNO sophomore Lindsey Kline was named the co-freshman of the year at last year's meet. Prelims each day will begin at 10:30 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
The Coach
Todd Samland, a 1984 UNO graduate, is in his 10th season as the head coach of the Maverick swimming and diving team. His 2004-05 squad captured the NCC title. Last year, UNO finished second in the NCC meet and sixth in the NCAA II national meet.
On Deck
UNO will compete in the March 7-10 NCAA Division II swimming and diving meet in Buffalo, N.Y.
