
Monger, Belling Lead Mavs at Husker Invite

LINCOLN, Neb. -- LaVerne Monger and Molly Belling each placed in two events to highlight UNO's performance in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Saturday at the Bob Devaney Indoor Track Center.
Monger was fourth in the 60-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter race, while Belling was third in the 60 and sixth in the 200. Belling, first, then Monger set the school record in the 200 in Friday night's prelims with marks of 24.45 and 24.41, respectively.
Other Mavs who placed included Tahnee Tuengee, seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:13.93; Pinar Saka, eighth in the 400, with a mark of 56.13, and Angela Kampschnieder, seventh in the 600 in 1:26.26. Magda Orzylowski was 13th in the 600. The 4x400 meter relay team of Karin Clarkson, Orzylowski, Jessica Purdy and Kampschnieder was seventh with a time of 3:53.23. Mary Margaret Nelson and Kelli Mertes finished 7-8 in the 1000-meter run.
