Mavs Remain in 16th After Day 3 of Nationals

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha scored points in the 200-yard butterfly and the 800-yard freestyle relay to highlight the Mavericks' performances Friday at the 2007 NCAA Division II swimming and diving championships. UNO remained in 16th place after the third day of competition.
Junior Jessica Hessel placed 14th in the 200 butterly with a time of 2:08.91. The 800 freestyle relay team of Ashley Barna, Katey Howarter, Lisa Wemhoff and Lindsey Kline finished 11th in 7:48.11.
The Mavericks will conclude competition on Saturday with UNO scheduled to compete in three events, the 1650-yard freestyle relay, the 100-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 9:30 a.m., with the finals scheduled for 5 p.m.
