Mavericks Send 9 to Drake Relays

Nine competitors will carry the Maverick colors into the Drake Relays Friday and Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. UNO's runners will compete in six events at the event.
Friday, LaVerne Monger and Molly Belling will run in the 100-meter dash prelims at 12:45 p.m. The finals are scheduled for Saturday afternoon. In addition, Tahnee Tuenge will run in the 800-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay team will compete.
Saturday, the sprint medley relay team will run in the morning and Magda Orzylowski will run the 400-meter hurdle race in the afternoon. The 4x100 meter relay team and the 4x400 relay finals are scheduled later in the afternoon.
The Mavericks will also send a contingent to the Nebraska Open in Lincoln on Sunday.
