4x400 Relay Team, Belling Advance at Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Mavericks' 4x400 relay team and sophomore Molly Belling in the 100 advanced to the finals at the Drake Relays to highlight UNO's performances at the prestigious meet Friday afternoon.
The 4x400 relay team consisting of Karin Clarkson, Angela Kampschnieder, Jessica Purdy, and LaVerne Monger finished second in the preliminaries with a time of 3:43.96.
Belling advanced to Saturday's final of the 100-meter-dash by finishing eighth in the preliminaries at 11.90.
Junior Tahnee Tuenge finished 11th in the finals of the 800-meter-run with a time of 2:19.90.
The meet continues through Saturday.
