Cold Weather Stalls Maverick Outdoor Debut
Apr 6, 2007 | Track & Field
The Mavericks' outdoor track debut has been put on ice for a week. UNO has canceled its appearance in Saturday's Bearcat Invitational in Maryville, Mo., coach Steve Smith said, because of the cold, windy weather conditions expected.
UNO, the North Central Conference indoor champion, has not competed since finishing 10th in the NCAA II Indoor Nationals in Boston March 9-10. The Mavericks will now open the outdoor season on April 14 at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Neb.
