
Gass Finishes 7th in NCC Multi-Event Test

ST. PETER, Minn. -- Julie Gass finished seventh in the two-day North Central Conference Heptathlon held at Gustavus Adolphus University Monday and Tuesday. Her performance earned two points for the Mavericks in the team standings for the May 11-12 NCC Track & Field Meet, which will be held in Duluth, Minn.
Gass' best performances came in the 200-meter dash and the high jump with fifth-place finishes. She also had a sixth-place finish in the shot put and was never lower than eighth in the 13-athlete field.
St. Cloud State's Kayla Todnem won the event, winning once and posting four secnd-place finishes.
Gass, a junior from Valentine, Neb., was UNO's only entry.
