Belling Earns Regional Honor

For the second straight season, Molly Belling has been named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTCCCA) North Central Region athlete of the year for the 2007 outdoor season.
Belling was named the 2007 North Central Conference's outstanding track performer after winning the 100 and 200 meters at the NCC meet. Belling has the nation's fastest time in the 100 (11.49) and the second-fastest clocking in the 200 (23.64). The sophomore from Omaha placed third in the 200 at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Belling broke the NCC Outdoor meet record in the 100 and tied it in the 200.
The Mavericks will compete in the 2007 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 24-26 in Charlotte, N.C.
