Belling, 4x100 Relay Advance at Outdoor Nationals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Sophomore Molly Belling and the 4x100 relay team turned in outstandng performances on Thursday in the first day of competition at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships at the Irwin Belk Complex.
The 4x100 relay team of Karin Clarkson, Belling, Pinar Saka, and LaVerne Monger finished fifth in the prelims with a school record time of 45.42.
Belling advanced to the finals of the 100-meter dash, finishing third in the prelims with a time of 11.82.
Monger ran the 400-meter dash in 55.88 but failed to advance to Saturday's finals. Also competing on Thursday was senior Magda Orzylowski who finished the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.99
The meet continues through Saturday.
