Belling, 4x400 Relay Shine at Outdoor Nationals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The 4x400 relay team and sophomore Molly Belling in the 200-meter-dash each turned in solid performances in their preliminary races to advance to the finals at the 2007 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships Friday at the Irwin Belk Complex.
Belling won her heat in the 200 and had the third fastest overall time at 23.64. Belling will also compete Saturday in the finals of the 100-meter dash and as part of the 4x100 relay team.
The 4x400 relay team of Karin Clarkson, Angela Kampschnieder, Jessica Purdy, and LaVerne Monger finished third in its heat and fifth overall, advancing to the finals with a time of 3:41.63.
The finals will conclude on Saturday.
