Mulligan Ties for 7th, UNO 6th in Drury Meet

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Senior Lynn Mulligan shot a closing-round 79 Tuesday to tie for seventh place and lead the Mavericks to a sixth-place finish in the 18-team Drury Regional Shootout. Tarleton State won the team title with a 624 total to UNO's 647.
The Mavericks shot a 630 Tuesday, with Mulligan leading the way on the par-72, 5,897-yard Rivercut Golf Course. Upper Iowa's Rachael Schmidt won the individual crown with a one-over 73 Tuesday for a 148 total.
Lindsay Newton shot an 82 for UNO for a 162 total and Sara Wolfe and Erin Ommen each finished at 164 after rounds of 85 and 84, respectively. Dani Suponchick slipped to an 89 Tuesday after an opening 81 for a 170 total. Abbey Weddle, competing as an individual, fired a second-straight 80 for a 160 total to tie for 16th.
