Regional Test Awaits Mavs in Minnesota

Some of the top teams in the region and the North Central Conference will be represented this weekend when the Mavericks resume their fall schedule at the Best Western Bandana Square Invitational Tournament in St. Paul, Minn. UNO will compete in the 12-team, 36-hole event Sunday and Monday.
UNO's five-player team of Lynn Mulligan, Sara Wolfe, Abbey Weddle, Lindsay Newton and Erin Ommen will tee off Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and Monday at 8:30 a.m.
Dani Suponchick will compete as an individual on the par-72, 5,928-yard Tartan Park Golf Club.
The Mavericks, who finished sixth last week in the Drury Regional Shootout in Springfield, Mo., will be competing against Augustana, Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State, Mankato, Southwest Minnesota State, St. Cloud State Minnesota State-Moorhead, Upper Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wayne State and Winona State.
Mulligan, a senior from Kansas City, Mo., led the Mavericks last week with a tie for seventh at Drury, shooting a 78-79--157 total.
