Mavs Lead After Day 1 of SMSU Mustang Invite

MARSHALL, Minn. - Paced by senior Lindsay Newton and sophomore Lynn Mulligan, the University of Nebraska at Omaha women's golf team leads by eight strokes after the first round of the 16-team Souhwest Minnesota State Mustang Invite at the par-72, 5,936-yard Marshall Golf Club in Marshall.
Newton shot a five-over 77 and leads all golfers. Ommen is tied for second with a six-over 78. Senior Lynn Mulligan is tied for fourth after shooting an 80.
