WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Mavericks cross country team finished in ninth place in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Championship on Saturday morning at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Sophomore #Janna Brons# earned 31^st place and was the Mavs' top finisher in the race.

Brons had a time of 24:29:80. Freshman Cara Kunneman was the Mavericks' second finisher in 46^th place with a time of 25:03:59. Sophomore #Mary Margaret Nelson# was UNO's third finisher in 49^th place followed immediately by freshman Amanda Stauffer. Freshman #Kelly Esch and sophomore Lisa Tesarek# rounded out the Mavericks' pack.

Missouri Southern won the team title, led by Kimi Shank who was the top overall individual with a time of 21:54:14 over the 6 kilometer course. Missouri Southern finished with 42 points, 30 more than runner up Pittsburg State. Southwest Baptist finished third in the nine-team field with 83 points.
