Mavericks Prepare for Meet at USD

The Mavericks will get back in action Saturday when they compete in the John Dalton Open at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
The first events for UNO athletes will be at 10:30 a.m. in the DakotaDome.
UNO will bring 12 athletes to the meet. Sprinters Pinar Saka and Anja Puc will take the week off.
The USD meet will be the next-to-last indoor test for the Mavericks before they compete in the North Central Conference meet Feb. 29 and March 1.
Puc, a freshman, has already posted an automatic qualifying time for the NCAA Division II Indoor meet and Saka has automatic marks in both the 200 and 400-meter races.
UNO's Molly Belling, out of action since mid-January with a foot injury, will compete Saturday in the 60-meter dash.
