Saka Earns NCC Honor 3rd Time

Pinar Saka has been named the North Central Conference's female track athlete of the week for a third straight time.
Saka shares the honor this week with Emma Erickson of South Dakota.
Saka captured the 400-meter title in last week's Frank Sevigne Invitational with a time of 53.77 seconds. She also posted the fastest qualifying time of the prelims with a 53.61, the fastest thus far in NCAA Division II. The junior from Istanbul, Turkey, owns automatic qualifying times in both the 400 and the 200-meter races and holds the fastest times in Division II in both.
The Mavericks will be back in action this Friday and Saturday in the adidas classic in Lincoln, Neb.
