Mavs Send 11 to National Meet

The University of Nebraska at Omaha will open competition in the four-day NCAA Division II swimming and diving meet Wednesday at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. Eleven Mavericks will be entered in the meet.
UNO is coming off a dramatic victory in the North Central Conference meet Feb. 24, in which the Mavericks claimed the title by just 1.5 points over North Dakota.
The Mavericks finished sixth in last year's meet.
Wednesday's competition will consist of the 1000-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard medley relay.
Mavericks entered in the meet include:
Freshmen - Cait Hopkins, Laura Kemp, Lucy Zamecnik
Sophomores - Jessica LaFave, Kristy Gmeiner
Juniors - Carrie Murphy, Lindsey Kline, Katye Howarter
Seniors - Ashley Barna, Jessica Hessel, Megan Guthmiller
