Over 1,000 Walkers Expected Saturday

Over 1,000 walkers have registered to take part in the 23rd annual Diet Pepsi/UNO Women's Walk Saturday on the UNO campus. The event is the primary fundraiser for women's athletic scholarships and over its 22-year history has raised over $3 million.
The event begins with check-in at the Lee and Helene Sapp Fieldhouse at 8:30 a.m. After welcoming announcements, the walk will begin at 10 a.m.
Kate Dodge is serving as the chairman of this year's walk, which is expected to raise over $300,000.
