UNO Golf Team to Host Meet in Iowa

The University of Nebraska at Omaha will host its second straight tournament...but this time the venue will switch to another state. The Mavericks will host the 12-team, 36-hole Okoboji Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
A Thursday night rain storm has forced a change of courses for the first round, however. Play will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the par-72 Spencer Country Club and Sunday will conclude at 10 a.m. at the Emerald Hills Golf Club in Arnold's Park.
The Mavericks finished second to Augustana in the Ironwood Collegiate Classic in Omaha last weekend.
Teams entered in the Okoboji meet include UNO, Augustana, Concordia-St. Paul, Upper Iowa, Minnesota State, Mankato, St. Cloud State, Truman State, Minnesota State-Moorhead, Winona State, Southwest Minnsota State, South Dakota and North Dakota.
The tournament is the final in regular season competition before the May 5-6 NCAA II North Regional, which will include the top six teams in the region.
