3 Mavs Nab Titles in NW Missouri Meet

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Molly Belling sprinted to a pair of wins, Kaylen Harris one and Heather Minssen finished first, second and eighth in events Saturday to highlight the University of Nebraska at Omaha's performance in the Jock's Nitch Northwest Open. UNO finished third in the meet behind the host Bearcats.

Belling won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.16 seconds and the 200-meter race with a mark of 25.06 seconds. Minssen captured the shot put title with a toss of 41 feet, six inches. She was also second in the javelin and eighth in the discus.

Harris won the 10,000-meter race with a time of 37:42.26.
