Puc, Koepke Run 2-3 in 400

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha stands fifth in the final North Central Conference outdoor track and field meet with one event remaining Saturday.
The meet was shortened because of poor weather conditions and the forecast of storms and cold weather on Saturday. Just the 5,000-meter run remains.
Among the highlights for the Mavericks, was a 2-3 finish in the 400-meter dash by Anja Puc and Kayla Koepke. Koepke was fifth and Puc sixth in the 200-meter race.
Heather Minssen was third in the shot put and fifth in the javelin and Rasheema Pitt and Ashley Yates were 3-5 in the triple jump. Yates was also fourth in the long jump. In the 88-meter run, Lisa Tesarek ran fourth and Jolene Smith sixth. Distance runner Kaylen Harris ran fifth in the 10,000-meter event and is slated to run the 5,000 Saturday.
