UNO 7th in Final Directors' Cup Standings

The University of Nebraska at Omaha finished seventh for the second straight year and among the top seven for the fourth consecutive year in the U.S. Sports Academy Director's Cup Standings.
Grand Valley State won the Cup with 1,028.75 points. Points are awarded based on the national finish of each men's and women's sports to the 230 schools in NCAA Division II.
Six of the Mavericks' 13 Division II sports finished among the top 10 in the nation, topped by a third-place finish by the wrestling team and a fifth-place finish by the women's swimming and diving squad and soccer. The others included golf, seventh, and football and baseball, ninth.
UNO, seventh in 2006-07, was third in 2005-06 and second in the standings in 2004-05.
