Harris is 3rd Team Academic All-American

Senior distance runner Kaylen Harris has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team in the college division for women's track and field/cross country.
The Academic All-America teams are administered and voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Harris, from Omaha, maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average while majoring in mathematics during her Maverick career. She graduated in May summa cum laude.
It's just the fourth time that UNO has had an athlete on one of the CoSIDA Academic All-America teams from track/cross country. Elise Henry earned second-team honors in 1996 and was a first-team selection in 1997 and 1998.
