Three Mavericks Selected to Scholar Team

Three University of Nebraska at Omaha golfers have been selected to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for Division II. Seniors Lynn Mulligan and Lindsay Newton and sophomore Dani Suponchick were among the 76 athletes named to the Division II squad.
To be eligible, student-athletes must compete in at least 66.7 percent of their team's matches.
Mulligan, from Kansas City, Mo., finished in a tie for 23rd in the NCAA II national tournament. She is graduated from UNO in May with majors in management, human resources management and marketing.
Newton, from North Platte, Neb., is a religion major. She finished 46th in the national tournament.
Suponchick, from Papillion, Neb., is a pre-business major.
