WAYNE, Neb. - The Nebraska Omaha golf team earned the top four individual places to win the one-day Wayne State College Fall Invitational on Friday. For the third time in four tournaments this fall, junior #Erin Ommen# was the top individual golfer in the tournament.
WAYNE, Neb. - The Nebraska Omaha golf team earned the top four individual places to win the one-day Wayne State College Fall Invitational on Friday. For the third time in four tournaments this fall, junior #Erin Ommen# was the top individual golfer in the tournament.
Ommen shot a four over par 76 at the Wayne Country Club, closing with a 37 over the final nine holes. Sophomore captain #Dani Suponchick# was a shot behind at 77. Junior #Abbey Weddle# took third, shooting 78 while sophomore #Amy Powell# was fourth with an 81. Freshman #Rebecca Pollock# finished tenth with an 87.
The Mavericks finished with a team score of 312, outdistancing host Wayne State which was second at 347. Nebraska Kearney finished in third at 364 while Northwestern College of Iowa was fourth at 380.
UNO is back in action on October 2 and 3 at the Northwest Missouri State Fall Classic.
