Mavs Crown Three Champs at Dana Open

BLAIR, Neb. -- The top-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha wrestling team returned to action Saturday at the Dana Open and crowned three champions and had eight wrestlers in the finals of the meet. UNO had 16 place-finishers in the tournament.
Sophomore Mario Morgan placed first at 141 pounds finishing the day with a 4-0 record. Morgan defeated the NAIA's top-ranked wrestler, Eric Graham of Missouri Valley, in the championship bout.
Senior Tony Lewis and freshman Elijah Madison who was wrestling unattached, were crowned co-champions at 285 pounds, with both wrestlers finishing with a 3-0 record.
Senior Ross Taplin earned the tournament's Most Falls Award (11:28), finishing second at 174 pounds with a 4-1 mark on the day.
