Round 1 Results
MARYVILLE, Mo. - #Armana Christianson# shot the best round of the day, and the UNO golf team has the lead after the first round of the Bearcat Invitational hosted by Northwest Missouri State. The Mavericks had four golfters in the top five through rainy and windy conditions at the Mozingo Golf Course.
Christianson fired a 78 in round one, one stroke better than teammate #Abbey Weddle# who was in second after 18 holes. #Amy Powell and Ricca Soper# each shot 82 to tie for third overall. #Rebecca Pollock# tied for eighth with a first round score of 84.
#Elizabeth Havekost#, playing as an individual, shot 89, the second best score among the individual golfters.
The Mavericks led the six-team tournament with a score of 321. Missouri Western was in second place at 338 and host Northwest Missouri State was third at 358.
The final round will be played on Friday morning.
