
UNO Sits Fourth Heading Into Final Day of Husker I

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Maverick swimming and diving team held on to its fourth place spot after the third day of competition Saturday at the Husker invitational at the Devaney Natatorium in Lincoln. UNO now has 438.5 points.
The 200 yard medley relay team of #Amy Bechdolt#, #Chelsea Hartman#, #Tessa Edwards and Cait Hopkins# kicked off the day with a 9th place finish with a time of 1:53.38. #Cami Hansberry#, #Laura Kemp#, #Colleen Klaiber and Callie Rietfors# finished just behind them for tenth place with a time of 1:55.61.
UNO's Kemp followed with an 8th place finish in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:42.22, less than a second behind Rice's Alison Godbe who finished at 4:42.14.
Hopkins was the top placer for UNO with a fifth place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.56. She received 18 points for UNO. Hartman also had a top ten finish in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.01, good enough for tenth place.
The Husker Invitational concludes with two sessions on Sunday, including a preliminary session starting at 8 a.m. and a finals session at 2 p.m.
