UNO to Host Reception for National Champion Wrestl

OMAHA, Neb. - UNO athletics will be hosting a special congratulatory reception for the Mavericks' 2009 NCAA Division II National Champions in wrestling on Thursday, March 26 at 12 noon in the atrium of the Sapp Fieldhouse. Everyone is invited to attend.
Head coach Mike Denney, who was named Division II Coach of the Year following the win, will be joined by members of the 2009 championship team and other special guests.
The Mavericks won the sixth national championship in wrestling in school history and the fourth in the last six years on March 14. The Mavs finished the dual meet season a perfect 13-0 and also won the Midwest Regional Championship. Senior Todd Meneely won his third individual national title and was undefeated at 27-0 this season.
