LINCOLN, Neb.- Freshman Megan Oddo finished 35th overall to lead the UNO cross country team to a twelfth place finish on Saturday morning in the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational at Pioneer Park.
Nebraska took the title in the 22-team meet with an overall score of 32. Wichita State was second with 59 points and Wartburg College was third with 150. UNO finished 12th overall with 350 points.
Oddo finished with a time of 23:14. Fellow freshman Brittany Phillips was the second Maverick finisher with a time of 23:35, good enough for 50th place followed by Nicole Behm who finished with a time of 24:01.
The Mavericks return to action October 2 when they travel to Emporia, Kan. for the Emporia State Cross Country Invite at Jones Park.
