Mavericks Take To Track, Field at Iowa State

Day 1 Results
AMES, Iowa - The UNO track and field team earned four top-five performances after the first day of competiton at the Iowa State Invitational. That included second-place finishes in the 200 meters and the long jump.
On the track, #Maja Mihalinec# finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.59, just .01 seconds behind Brittany Henderson of Minnesota State. Teammate #Kayla Koepke# finished fifth at 25.45.
In the unseeded 5,000 meter run, #Dina Luka# earned a third-place finish in a time of 19:35.23.
In the field, #Shannon Moore# was second in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, five and a half inches.
The meet continues tomorrow at 9:50 a.m.
