Seven Mavericks Named To All-MIAA Indoor Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Seven members of UNO's indoor track and field team received All-conference honors for their performances in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association indoor championship meet. The honor goes to the top three finishers in individual or relay events at the meet.
UNO repeated as MIAA indoor champions, edging perennial power Missouri Southern 127-109.5. Central Missouri was third with 76 points.
#Shannon Moore# won the 400 meter dash, took second in the pentathlon, the 200 meters and the 60 meter hurdles and was a member of UNO's championship 4x400 meter relay team.
#Maja Mihalinec# won the 200 and was second in the 60 meter dash. She also ran on the 4x400 team.
Relay teammate #Kayla Koepke# was second in the 400 and third in the 200 while the fourth member of the relay, #Anja Puc#, won the 800.
#Molly Belling# earned a third-place finish in the 60 meter dash.
In the field events, #Nkeiruka Domike won the triple jump while Heather Minssen# took second in the shot put.
The Mavericks begin the outdoor season on April 3 at the Northwest Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State.
