Mavericks Break Into Top 25 in Track and Field Pol

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO track and field team debuted at 18th place in the latest outdoor rankings as released by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association yesterday. It's the fourth week of the poll.
UNO is one of five Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association teams in the top 25. Missouri Southern ranks ninth, Central Missouri is 17th, Pittsburg State is 22nd and Truman State is 24th.
The Mavericks are coming off a sharp performance in at the Drake Relays in which they won the 1,600 meter sprint medley with a meet record time of 3:49.11 and finished second in the 4 x 400 meter relay.
This week, the Mavericks will be at Kansas State for the Ward Haylett Invitational on Saturday, May 1. Heptathlete #Shannon Moore# will head to Missouri Southern for the MIAA Heptathlon-Decathlon Championship on Sunday and Monday, May 2 and 3.
