Seven Mavs Named to Outdoor All-MIAA Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The UNO track and field team placed seven athletes on the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association all-conference team. The honor is awarded to those student-athletes who finished in the top three in individual or relay events at the MIAA's outdoor championship meet.
The Mavericks tied with Northwest Missouri State for second most honorees. Outdoor champion Missouri Southern led the way with 10.
Sophomore #Maja Mihalinec# was the MIAA champion in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and won first as a member of the 4 x 400 relay. She also ran in the 4 x 100 relay which finished second.
#Anja Puc# was the outdoor champion in the 1,500 and 800 meter runs and was a member of the 4 x 400 meter relay.
#Kayla Koepke# took first in the 400 meters and third in the 200 while also running in the 4 x 400.
#Shannon Moore# was the fourth member of the winning 4 x 400 team and also won the long jump. She second in the 200.
#Molly Belling# was second in the 200 meters and was part of the 4 x 100 meter relay. #Jody-Ann Coore and Kayla Murphy# completed the 4 x 100 meter relay team.
The Mavericks complete their season on May 27-29 when they take part in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship at Charlotte, N.C.
