AMARILLO, Texas - UNO senior #Erin Ommen# shot a ten-over par score of 82 for the first round of the 2010 NCAA Division II West Regional at the Tascosa Country Club. Ommen is UNO's sole representative at the three-day regional tournament.
Ommen will tee off in round two on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. The top three teams and the top three individuals not with one of the qualifying teams will advance to the NCAA Championship in Mesa, Ariz.
Ommen is in a nine-way tie for 27th out of 49 players in the tournament. Her first round score is her second-highest total for 18 holes in the spring season.
Tarleton State leads the team competition with a first-round score of 310, four strokes ahead of Sonoma State, California State Monterey Bay and Angelo State which are in a three-way tie for second.
