Puc Lowers School Record in 800

VELENJE, Slovenia - UNO's #Anja Puc# trimmed her school-record time in the 800 meters at a meet in her home country of Slovenia last week. Puc ran a time of 2:03.98 to finish in sixth place against a host of international competition.
The native of Medvode, Slovenia set the previous mark at the 2010 NCAA National Championship. She ran 2:04.25 to win the national championship in the event. Her most recent time is the third-fastest time in the 800 in Division II history.
Puc also holds the school record in the 800 meters indoors with a time of 2:07.14. She earned the mark while winning the national championship in the event this past season.
Puc will enter her senior season at UNO this fall.
