
UNO Golf Tied For Fifth After First Round at Drury

BRANSON, Mo. - The UNO golf team shot a first-round score of 320 to tie for fifth place after the first round of the Drury University Fall Shootout. The Mavericks are one of 19 teams in the tournament at the Ledgestone Country Club.
The Mavs were tied with Central Oklahoma. St. Edward's University was in first place with a team score of 304. Dallas Baptist held down second at 312 and host Drury was in third at 315.
Senior #Dani Suponchick# had the best round of the day for UNO, going out in 38 and coming back in 39 for a score of 77, tying her for tenth overall. #Ricca Soper# also shot a 38 on the front and finished the day with a score of 80, nine over par.
The Mavs were tightly packed as a group. #Amy Powell# finished the first round with an 81, #Rebecca Pollock had an 82 and Armana Christianson# carded an 83.
Freshman Brooke Thilges, playing as an individual, shot 87.
The final round of the tournament will begin Tuesday morning.
