The No. 1 UNO wrestling team heads to Mankato, Minn., for its first road dual of the season at No. 8 Minnesota State this Friday at 7 p.m.
The Mavs (7-1) have won two decisive duals in a row over Central Oklahoma and UNK, while Minnesota State (8-3) is coming off a 21-10 loss at No. 2 Augustana last Friday. The MSU Mavericks are 4-0 in home duals this season though.
The best matches of the night will occur in the heavier weights. No. 3 Ryan Pankoke (UNO) will wrestle No. 6 Ben Becker at 174 pounds; No. 3 Aaron Denson (UNO) faces No. 6 Aaron Norgren at 184 pounds; No. 4 Matt Baker (UNO) will face No. 7 Pat Mahan at 197 pounds. MSU also has Andy Forstner ranked No. 4 at 125 pounds.
