Suponchick Named MIAA Golf Athlete of Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior #Dani Suponchick# was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Athlete of the Week for women's golf today. She is the first UNO player to earn the honor this season.
Earlier this week, Suponchick led the Mavericks to a sixth-place finish out of 16 teams at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was UNO's first tournament of the spring season.
Suponchick fired a two-round score of 155 including a final of 75, the Mavericks' low round of the tournament. She finished in a tie for tenth overall. It was the second time during the 2010-11 season that Suponchick has led the Mavericks in scoring.
UNO returns to action at the Lady Otter Invitational hosted by California State Monterey Bay on Monday and Tuesday, March 28 and 29.
