
Mavericks Looking For New Dance Coach

OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Nebraska Omaha athletic department is seeking application for the position of Dance Team Coach.
The position requires work hours outside of the regular school day, including weekends, and travel with the team to camps and major events. Administrative, supervisory and budgetary responsibilities are critical aspects of the position.
This is a part-time position and is not eligible for benefits through the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Summary of Responsibilities: Coach is responsible for all aspects of the dance team including but not limited to team tryouts, choreography, scheduling, travel, budget, monitoring academic progress and other duties as assigned.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree with preference to those with a degree in dance or another performing arts specialty.
Qualifications Required: Valid Driver's License; demonstrated coaching experience working with competitive dance teams; extensive knowledge of dance routines and safety while performing them.
Qualifications Preferred: Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level; proven experience in creating and teaching choreography; experience with various dance forms such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, pom, funk and modern dance; knowledge of Universal Dance Association (UDA) rules and regulations
