Oct 15, 2012 | Women's Swimming & Diving
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha swimming & diving team makes its home debut on Friday, Oct. 19, hosting in-state rival Nebraska HPER Pool at 3 p.m. with a special "Pink Out" meet to support breast cancer awareness.
The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free pink t-shirt. Attendance for the meet is also free of charge, and any donations will go toward breast cancer research. All attendees are encouraged to wear pink shirts or hats, and UNO and Nebraska's squads will both wear specially-designed pink swim caps to compete.
The meet is sponsored locally by Lawlor's Custom Sportswear. UNO's chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, whose national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness, will also partner with the Mavericks for the event.
