OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha swimming & diving team hosted in-state opponent Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday afternoon, winning all 10 events at HPER Swimming Pool. No final team score was kept between the two squads.
Freshman Natalie Renshaw had an outstanding day, posting wins in three individual events. The Omaha, Neb., native won the 100 back (1:00.15), 50 free (24.29) and 100 free (53.50).
The Mavericks opened the day by winning the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:55.52. UNO then took the top five spots in the 100 fly, led by sophomore Jenna Foiles (1:00.82). Senior Cami Hansberry (1:01.24) and freshman Tasha Posthuma (1:01.52) followed in second and third, respectively.
In the 100 back, sophomore Ashley Kneifl finished second (1:03.07), while Foiles came in third (1:03.57). Hansberry (25.12) and junior Whitney Korgan (25.33) rounded out the field behind Renshaw in the 50 free, and Korgan (56.14) chipped in a second-place showing in the 100 free as well.
Junior Madeline Hutt won the 100 breast (1:07.28), followed by Foiles (1:09.10) in second and freshman Hannah Alexander (1:11.31) in third.
In the 400 IM, Mattie Fosbender led the field with mark of 4:55.69, while sophomore Christen Young finished second (4:55.73), and junior Erin Wright came in third (4:55.93).
The Mavs closed the afternoon with a win in the 200 free relay, recording a time of 1:44.15.
Omaha returns to action on Friday, Nov. 2, traveling to Summit League foe South Dakota. The meet is set for a 6 p.m. start in Vermillion, S.D.
