
Omaha Goes 0-2 in Dual Meet Against Kansas and North Dakota

Lawrence, Kan. – Omaha swimming and diving went 0-2 in their dual meet against Kansas and North Dakota at Robinson Natatorium Saturday.
The Mavericks fell 65-235 against the Jayhawks and 98-201 against North Dakota. Kansas claimed the meet victory, topping North Dakota 229.5 – 70.50.
Freshman Natalie Renshaw and senior Madeline Hutt gave Omaha two top finishes. Renshaw took first place in the 100-yard free with a time of 53.37.
Hutt followed two events later in the 200-yard breast (2:20.53), edging out KU's Bryce Hinde by more than two seconds. Hinde, a sophomore, was a top finisher in last year's Big 12 Championships.
Junior Jenna Foiles and freshman Morgan Stepp grabbed a pair of third-place finishes for Omaha. Foiles clocked 59.91 in the 100-yard fly and Stepp closed out the 200-yard fly in 2:13.32.
Omaha will return home for the Mutual of Omaha Invite Dec. 6 and 7 at HPER swimming pool. Prelims are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
