
Stepp Announced as Summit League's Swimmer of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Freshman Morgan Stepp was named the Summit League's Women's Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Stepp earns her first career Swimmer of the Week award after recording three individual first-place finishes to help the Mavericks defeat league foe South Dakota, 175-123. The Parker, Colo., native won the 500 free (5:12.97), 1,000 free (10:40.18) and 200 IM (2:10.38) in the dual against the Coyotes. Her 1,000 free time was a season-best performance for Omaha and ranks 10th in the Summit League. In a relay dual vs. Nebraska, she was a part of the winning 200 medley (1:55.24) and 300 medley (3:04.00) relay teams. She swam to first place in every event she competed in.
Stepp, a business administration major, is the second Maverick to receive the honor this season. Sophomore Natalie Renshaw earned the honor on Oct. 15.
