Krieser Named To Summit Academic Team

ELMHURST, Ill. - Sophomore Karl Krieser was named to the 2013 Summit League Academic All-League team on Wednesday, the first Maverick to earn the honor.
Krieser led the UNO men's golf team in scoring this season with a stroke average of 76.7 in 26 rounds this year. He fired a career-low round of 70, two under par, in the final round of the Summit League Championship last week to lead the Mavs in scoring at the event. The Omaha native and Millard North product shot five of the top seven rounds for the Mavericks this season including a team-leading four sub-par rounds. He carries a 3.76 grade point average in bioinformatics.
In his career, Krieser has played in 47 rounds, posting a 77.7 stroke average to lead all Mavericks with 30 or more rounds.
