Coyotes Pass Mavericks, UNO in Fifth at Championships

Indianapolis, Ind. – UNO sits in fifth place after the first full day of competition at the Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships.
Sophomore Natalie Renshaw, a Summit League Swimmer of the Week, took the Mavericks' first top finish of the finals in the 50 free (23.50). She topped the team's former season-best set by herself at the Mutual of Omaha Invite. Senior Whitney Korgan placed seventh in the same race.
In 1-meter diving, sophomore Miranda Knipfer landed in sixth place with a score of 226.65.
The 200 free relay team of freshman MacKenzie Ritter, and juniors Victoria Schab, Morgan Cullison, and Caitlin Brown, placed eighth with a time of 139.81.
After the second day of competition, Denver remains atop the standings with 375.5 points. IUPUI has 195 points in second, while South Dakota State follows in third with 187 points. South Dakota closely leads Omaha (147.5) with 168 points. Eastern Illinois (103) and Western Illinois (62) round out the standings.
