Spenner Breaks Two School Records At Mt. SAC

Walnut, Calif. - Sami Spenner broke the school record in the 200 meters and 100 meter hurdles on her way to setting four new personal bests at the Mt. SAC Relays on Wednesday afternoon.
Spenner, competing in the heptathlon, broke both school records by one-tenth of a second in each event, as the senior from Columbus, Neb. ran a time of 14.00 in the 100 meter hurdles and 23.54 in the 200 meters. The records mark the second and third school records that Spenner has broken in the last two meets having reset the school record in the triple jump (41-10 1/2) last weekend at the KT Woodman Classic.
Spenner also competed in the high jump (5-07 3/4) and the shot put (39-04) where she recorded new personal bests in both events.
Spenner will be back in action tomorrow at the Mt. SAC Relays to finish up the last three events in the heptathlon. Action from Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif. will get under way at 3 p.m. (CT) starting with the long jump.
